Welcome to Dads House
There are currently over 2 million non residential dads in the UK and over 200,000 raising their children alone.
In London alone there are 20,000 dads who are the main carers for their children.
We have seen a huge change in society and these figures are expected to rise dramatically in the next 5 years.
After raising his own son from an early age, William realised that there was very little support for fathers.
Although there was a number of organisations available to help parents, there was no support for the practicle side, no one to meet up with for a coffee and chat, people that would have an understanding on their struggles.
It was Billy's dream create a charity that could offer the support needed by single dads.
Since Dads House launched in 2008, our reputation has grown within many organisations, local authorities and the UK Government, who often contact Dads House to help with various topics.
In 2013 Dads House launched in Kent. Our 5 year plan going forward is to have Dads House branches accross th UK, enabling us to help and support as many single fathers as possible.
DadsHouse is now able to offer housing for fathers in need of accommodation.
Our Housing Project is currently based in South London, with houses located in Lewisham, Bexley and Greenwich. Each development is able to accommodate five fathers, with en suite bathrooms and shared kitchens. Dads are welcome to stay as long as they need to, or until their Local Authority finds alternative housing. The project will be expanding, and we hope to offer more housing in different areas of England, in the future.
Dadshouse will be launching our first Saturday service, on Saturday morning the 6th of June,It will be open to everyone who needs advice, information and guidance.Due to legal aid cuts,Dads and Mums everywhere are at a loss" of what the next steps are to try and find any kind of support, or network of who to turn to for help.

Dads House has introduced a buddy service. From our experience there is very little information on the practicalities of being a dad.And we know how important it is,to have someone to talk to with your concerns.
The Buddy service is very informal and low key where you can have a coffee and a chat.
Dads House has launched a food bank for dads and anyone the needs a helping hand in Kensington and Chelsea. The Food bank will be open every Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm.
